The Flipside of Camp: What Students and Leaders Are Learning This Week at BigStuf 🔄

At BigStuf 2025, the beach is full, the music is loud, the energy is real — and the truth being preached is deep.

This summer’s theme is The Flipside — and it’s already reshaping how students think about their stories, their struggles, and their faith. From the stage to small groups to one-on-one moments on the beach, students are discovering that what looks like an ending might actually be the beginning of something better.

The Flipside: What It's All About

All week long, students have been diving into a central idea:

God has more for your story than what you see right now.

Maybe your story feels heavy. Maybe you're walking through confusion, failure, or frustration. But what if that wasn’t the end? What if there’s another side to it — a flipside?

This week, students are hearing powerful truths like:

  • The flipside of your story is a better story.
  • The flipside you’re looking for is at the end of the life you keep trying to get God to improve.
  • The flipside of your doubt is a God who offers you peace.
  • The flipside of your expectation is hope.
  • The flipside of your failure is the goodness of God.
  • The flipside of your fire is friendship that is real.
  • The flipside of your family is the perfect place for grace.

Speakers like Noah Herrin, Meredith Knox, Raissa Kabandi, and Gerald Fadayomi are guiding students through these ideas with honesty, clarity, and compassion. Every session builds on the last — giving students a real picture of the God who sees them fully and still has more for their story.

More Than a Message — A Whole-Camp Conversation

Camp isn’t just about the messages on stage. After each session, students are heading into small groups with their church or ministry to unpack what they’re learning, ask questions, and share what’s going on in their hearts. These conversations are where so much of the growth happens — and for many students, it’s the start of lifelong friendships and deeper faith.

Leader Labs: Camp Is for Leaders Too

It’s not just students getting poured into this week.

Every morning, leaders are invited to Leader Labs — dedicated spaces to get encouraged, equipped, and connected with other youth leaders across the country.
Whether it’s a breakout on leading through burnout, navigating culture with students, or simply being reminded that you’re not alone, Leader Labs are designed to refresh the people who make ministry happen.

As much as BigStuf is for students, it’s also for leaders — because healthy leaders build healthy ministries.

One Theme, Lifelong Impact

Whether it’s in the mosh pit of morning session, a quiet moment on the beach, or a real conversation late at night — this week is shaping hearts.
The flipside isn’t just a theme; it’s a truth that students and leaders alike are beginning to believe:

God is not done writing your story — and what feels like the end might just be the beginning.

More updates to come — but for now, keep praying, keep watching, and know that BigStuf 2025 is in full swing, changing lives one day at a time.
